Typical build order, and why it matters
Typical order: site prep, then footings and foundation with a foundation inspection. Next framing, roof, and windows with a framing inspection, with plumbing, electrical, and mechanical rough-ins done before anything gets covered. Then an insulation inspection, drywall and finishes, a blower door air leak test where required (WA Blower Door), and finally the final inspection and occupancy. Your jurisdiction's inspection card is the real list.
